How to Stop Bleeding Gums

Bleeding gums are not uncommon, and most often, the culprits are either brushing too hard or flossing infrequently. Beyond lightening up with the toothbrush and/or flossing more regularly (every day, so that your gums get used to it), you can stop the bleeding naturally, with ingredients you'll find in your cupboard.

Ingredients

Half a lemon
1 cup of warm water
1 teaspoon of honey

Steps

Squeeze the juice out of the lemon.
Mix it with the water.
Add the honey.
Stir it all up.
Drink it, making sure to swish it all throughout your mouth before you swallow.

Tips

This drink should be taken every morning.
Massaging the gums gently with coconut oil also helps.
Massaging your gums gently with warm water and a soft toothbrush helps toughen them up. Tougher gums are less likely to bleed.

This remedy does not replace a dentist's attention. It is for temporary relief from bleeding gums. See a dentist as soon as you can because the problem could be serious.
Do not use this remedy if you are, or think you might be, allergic to lemons or honey!
